Nice to Meet You

I’m a seasoned UX and Service Design Leader with over a decade of experience creating intuitive, user-centered digital products and service ecosystems. My work focuses on aligning user needs with business goals, delivering impactful and accessible solutions across industries like Fintech and Insurtech. Beyond work, I’m a musician and avid sailor who loves exploring whatever is over the horizon and applying the same problem-solving mindset to life’s adventures.

My Design Philosophy

My design philosophy is rooted in crafting intuitive experiences that reduce cognitive load and make every interaction feel effortless. Whether designing interfaces, services, or processes, I prioritize anticipating user needs and aligning solutions with familiar patterns to ensure goals are achieved without confusion or friction. This philosophy goes beyond digital interfaces, extending to end-to-end service ecosystems and operational workflows.

A well-designed service or process should guide users and stakeholders effortlessly, allowing them to focus on their goals rather than navigating complexity.

Beyond Design

In 2024, I took a multi-month sabbatical to fulfill a dream of sailing with my family. I captained a 34 foot sailing catamaran – Quintessence – and we navigated over 700 nautical miles, exploring the southwest coast of Florida and the Florida Keys. I installed and maintained critical systems like solar panels, a water maker, and lithium batteries, ensuring our journey was self-sufficient. This experience deepened my problem-solving skills, resilience, and ability to adapt to new challenges—qualities I bring to every aspect of my professional life.

I have also bareboat chartered in the BVI several times and sail regularly on lakes closer to home. Whether it’s weekend cruising with my family, racing as crew, or captaining friends around tropical islands, I love to be on the water.

When I’m not sailing, I might be the guy fronting the band at a local watering hole, or just jamming with friends.
